JALannounced that it will maintain no fuel surcharge on all international passenger tickets purchased between June 1 and July 31, 2016.

The price of Singapore kerosene-type jet fuel during the two-month period of February and March 2016 averaged US$44.44 per barrel, which accounted for 5,066 yen in the average exchange rate of 114.00 JPY/USD during the same period.

As a result, with reference to the fuel surcharge benchmark list for FY2016 in Japanese yen, this corresponds to zone of “below 6,000 Yen” resulting in no fuel surcharge on all international passenger tickets purchased between June 1 and July 31, 2016.
