Dublin Airport brief evacuation after smoke alarm

A smoke alarm caused an evacuation at Dublin Airport Terminal 2 after an alarm went off.

The building was evacuated shortly before 9 am.

The building was evacuated shortly before 9 am.

A spokeswoman said the emergency was due to a smoke alarm which had to be checked out by the fire services.

It is understood the alarm may have been triggered by someone smoking in a toilet.

Passengers have now returned to the terminal building.
