Originally from Australia, Mr Matthews has spent the past 14 years in roles encompassing sales, operations and destination marketing in the Canadian market and is currently the Executive Director of Meetings and Conventions PEI, which is responsible for marketing, sales and product development for the province of Prince Edward Island in Canada.

CANBERRA, Australia – Canberra Convention Bureau has appointed Michael Matthews as its new chief executive officer, starting from October 1, 2015.

Matthews is currently the executive director of Meetings and Conventions PEI, which is responsible for marketing, sales and product development for the province of Prince Edward Island in Canada.
