Vietnam Airlines Plans to Employ Downsized Airline Staff to Boost Industry

While Frankfurt Airport is expected to remain operational, it will likely only handle transit flights.

Vietnam Airlines has announced the rescheduling of several flights to and from Frankfurt, Germany, due to a strike by aviation security staff at German airports.

The strike, called by the Verdi union, has led to the cancellation of passenger flights at Hamburg Airport on Thursday, March 7th.

While Frankfurt Airport is expected to remain operational, it will likely only handle transit flights.

Flight schedule changes:

  • VN37: Hanoi (HAN) to Frankfurt (FRA) – rescheduled from March 6th evening to March 7th evening.
  • VN31: Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Frankfurt (FRA) – rescheduled from March 6th evening to March 7th evening.
  • VN36: Frankfurt (FRA) to Hanoi (HAN) – rescheduled from March 7th afternoon to March 8th afternoon.
  • VN30: Frankfurt (FRA) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) – rescheduled from March 7th afternoon to March 8th afternoon.

Vietnam Airlines is urging passengers flying to, from, or transiting through Frankfurt Airport during this time to closely monitor their flight information for updates and to contact the airline for assistance if needed. The airline will also be providing support to affected passengers according to current regulations.
