Today this decision was reversed because Kenya was strongarmed in allowing freight traffic from Tanzania to Kenya in return.

Many tour operators worked overtime rebooking passengers from Kenya Airways to other carriers, causing confusion and distrust in Tanzania as a travel and tourism destination.

With this move, Kenya Airways was now granted third freedom traffic rights for flights between Nairobi and Dar es Salam.
