The Venezuelan carrier, Estelar Latinoamérica, headquartered in Caracas, officially began operating a Caracas-Rome-Caracas route.

The Venezuelan carrier, Estelar Latinoamérica, headquartered in Caracas, officially began operating a Caracas-Rome-Caracas route. After 17 years without a direct flight, Rome will again be connected to the capital of Venezuela once a week on Friday at 12:40, while from Caracas it will fly to Rome on Thursday at 6:20 pm. It is the company’s hope to succeed to increase the frequency.

The flight will be operated by an Airbus A340-313 with a capacity of 267: 12 in first class, 42 in business class, and 213 in tourist class. The flying time will be 10 hours and 30 minutes, making it the longest flight operated by the airline.

“With the resumption of air services to Rome, we now propose 7 international destinations, 2 of which will be in Europe,” said Boris Serrano, the president of the carrier, adding, “This is the result of a great effort that the airline is making with an excellent and prepared team in order to offer multiple connections in the near future with the aim to meet the needs of passengers.”

The new Caracas-Rome route meets with great interest by tourists, business travelers, and the Italian-Venezuelan community which is the largest among the foreign communities and constitutes a good opportunity to promote the Italian destination. “It is a very important market for us,” continued Serrano, “And we are confident that the effort we make in Aerolíneas Estelar to improve our connectivity will benefit in the area of international affairs and family rapprochement between both countries.”

“Our goals for 2019: a third route to Europe and to the south and central America. We have appointed a GSA – Tal Aviation – to service the Italian market for reservations and Aerolíneas Estelar ticketing,” concluded Boris Serrano.
