FRANKFURT – Germany’s second-largest airline, Air Berlin PLC said Thursday it is in talks with aircraft maker Boeing Co. about its order for 25 Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Negotiations could take several months, a spokesman said, adding there are no plans to cancel the order.

Boeing said earlier Thursday its much-delayed 787 Dreamliner is expected to undergo its first flight test by the end of the year, with first delivery pushed back to the fourth quarter of 2010.

The 25 aircraft were originally planned to be delivered to Air Berlin between 2013 and 2017.
