After the first day during which Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) presented its technological innovations on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, the Honorary Reunion Island Ambassadors of Mega Mascarun 2015 were also invited to go to the lounge, where they were presented with a privilege card, giving them access to many benefits.

At 9:30 am, travel agents had made an appointment at the booth of Reunion Island for the launch of Mega Mascarun 2015. After hosting France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the Germany in 2013, the 2015 edition is also open to South Africa. Over 200 professionals from the international tourism sector will take part in this sporting adventure. Teams will compete in challenges, and while they are on Reunion Island they will the opportunity to assess the variety and richness of landscapes and activities that make Reunion Island a unique place in the world. Ten travel agents will be selected after IFTM Top Resa 2014 to attend the event, and for other participants, 200 passports were collected at the stand of ESRD to have them stamped by Reunion Island professionals.

All Honorary Reunion Island Ambassadors were invited to meet the cast of the Reunion Island Tourism team and other ambassadors of the island to discuss their future plans and be made aware of actions to promote the destination. On this occasion, they were presented with a privilege card entitling them to preferential rates when they stay on the island. Ambassadors who do not live in Paris, or are unavailable on the dates of the show, will receive their privilege card later, at a party held on Reunion Island.

By late afternoon, the participants of the first edition of Mega Mascarun were invited to participate in a challenge involving cocktails. A colorful moment full of fanciful flavors!

Throughout the day, Joron Frederic and his troupe animated the Reunion Island stand to the rhythm of Sega. The visitors took a few notes to try their hand at traditional dance of Reunion Island: a real immersion in the culture in an instant!

The Reunion Island stand at IFTM Top Resa 2014 is in hall 7.2 at booth M29.
