Longest standing Russian tour operator in UK changes name

GLASGOW, Scotland – IntouristUK, the longest standing UK based Russian travel specialist, has announced their name change this week to IntoRussia.

GLASGOW, Scotland – IntouristUK, the longest standing UK based Russian travel specialist, has announced their name change this week to IntoRussia. The company, celebrating their 76th year in business, were the sole supplier of travel services to the USSR prior to its collapse in 1991. Choosing from the best suppliers from a wide range of established relationships with privatised providers, they continue to offer the finest quality and value travel arrangements on the market.

So why change their name?

Director of Outgoing Business, Kristi Rorison explains the reason behind the bold move:

“Now in our 76th year in business, it is more important than ever for us to continue evolving and improving, to ensure that for travel in Russia we are always the best choice. While Intourist in Russia remains a trusted partner, we are a completely independent company from them, and have been for many years now. We also have many well established relationships with suppliers and hotels all over the country and beyond; relationships built up over the years since 1938. This allows us to choose from the very best services available throughout Russia and the former USSR.

The name IntouristUK is still recognised by many by reputation as the sole supplier of travel services to Russia for a number of decades until the early 1990s. However as generations pass and technology advances, we would like people to be certain of what we offer by just looking at the brand name and logo. We have been working hard to make our brand and services both on and offline, clearer and more accessible, so we hope you like our new name – IntoRussia!”

The company has recently launched their new brochure, Russia & Beyond 2014, which showcases their vast knowledge of the country. Their portfolio includes not only city breaks to Moscow and St Petersburg but adventure tours as far as Kamchatka and the Russian Far East as well as everywhere in between.
