Kolpin Hotels is proud to announce the appointment of Nikolaj Tamakloe as General Manager of their latest hotel, Sanders in Copenhagen opening November 1, 2017. The 54 room hotel is the creation of the renown ballet dancer, Alexander Kølpin – a creation inspired by his personal experiences and travels. Together they bring a refined aesthetic sensibility and ideology to the property which is deeply rooted in Kolpin’s creative history.

Sanders is located in the historic heart of Copenhagen on a residential street, just behind the Royal Danish Theatre. Guests are a stroll away from the royal residences of Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Palace and the Royal Danish Opera as well as Nyhavn Canal.

Mr. Tamakloe brings a wealth of hospitality experience to his position at Sanders. He studied in Oxford and started his professional career working on a management training program at DND London, the former Conran Restaurant Group, where he quickly advanced to the Assistant Restaurant Manager of Coq D’Argent in London and later at Custom House in Copenhagen.

Nikolaj was then hired by the luxury Nimb Hotel in Copenhagen where he ultimately became Hotel Manager. Later, he was a consultant involved in several projects throughout Europe specializing in tactical and strategic hospitality solutions. Most recently Tamakloe served as the Director of Operations for Maersk Group where he managed the Leadership Centre while running a boutique hotel for the top management.
