Designated Minister Vincent Meriton and the Tourism & Culture Minister Alain St.Ange joined the Indian High Commissioner Panda and Judge Karunakaran at the Indian Temple in Victoria last Monday for the auspicious occasion of the “Vinayagar Chathurthi” festival celebration.
The religious ceremony was followed by an outer courtyard procession at 8 pm where a very large crowd of Seychellois of Indian origin had rallied for the occasion.
Many present said they were happy to see government ministers, the Indian High Commissioner, and a senior judge of the republic all join them for this special feast, as their four invited guests were honored with the traditional headgear and flower garland.
