Japan’s flag carrier Japan Airlines and Qatar Airways Cargo, both members of oneworld airline alliance, announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). New deal is designed to strengthen the carriers’ cooperation and boost their service options to air cargo customers worldwide.
Earlier this year, Japan Airlines launched daily passenger flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Hamad International Airport in Doha. In light of this new development, Qatar Airways Cargo and the Japan Airlines Cargo division (JALCARGO) have further expanded their cooperation by signing the latest MoU. This agreement is designed to provide an improved product offering to cargo clients and to realize operational synergies.
New collaboration will get another boost in 2025, as Qatar Airways Cargo is scheduled to launch freighter operations between its base at Hamad International Airport and the Japan Airlines hub at Tokyo Narita Airport.
