Baton Rouge, LA Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux has signed a major 20-unit development agreement with Port Royal Brands, which will bring the sports bar concept to Georgia and Tennessee

This is the company’s first deal since introducing the new, smaller-format restaurant design, with upgraded technology and an enhanced guest experience.

Phil Sanford founded and chairs Port Royal Brands, alongside being a restaurateur, in previous he was successful as The Krystal Company’s leader to its growth. Port Royal’s Chief Executive Officer, Jef Wallace, brings experience from the restaurant and franchising sides.

The team of Port Royal had just been through the high-octane game day experience of Walk-On’s and their incredible scratch-kitchen menu; they were prepared to get invested in the brand. Anticipating this, Sanford explained how excited he was to be able to create a home team environment for sports fans all over the two states.

According to CEO Chris Porcelli, this partnership serves as a great opportunity for Walk-On’s to expand its footprints. The partnership will position Walk-On’s as the ultimate destination for the sports enthusiast-sporting house that would offer premium sports viewing experiences and enhanced menu offerings.

New locations will feature the modern restaurant prototype of Walk-On’s- sleek exterior looks, an immersive sports atmosphere, and state-of-the-art kitchens. Guests will indulge in the brand’s signature menu for guests looking for bolder, more flavorful dishes in a lively setting.

The first Port Royal Walk-On’s location should open in 2025, and there will be more openings thereafter. Walk-On’s continues to expand its footprint across America, brining fans a sports bar experience that is more than watching the game.
