In a 10 billion dollar deal for United Airlines union members, the airline will raise salaries for its staff by up to 40.2% over the next 4 years.
This is combined with better working conditions, considering the record-making profits airlines generate in the post-pandemic travel and tourism environment.
United made this preliminary arrangement with the Air Line Pilot Association (ALPA) and announced it today.
Delta Airlines had increased to raise pay up to 34% , and American Airlines reached a labor deal for 40%. Union members still wait for the certification of the AA deal.
