Turkish Airlines, with flights to 64 destinations across Africa, announced that it is set to resume air service to Libya’s second-largest city, Benghazi, starting from 14 January 2025.
The airline will utilize B737-78D aircraft for its Benghazi services, operating three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
In remarks regarding the reinstatement of flights to Benghazi, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi stated, “As Turkish Airlines, we are committed to our mission of bridging continents, now extending our services to Benghazi, Libya’s second-largest city. We are pleased to reestablish our flights to Benghazi, a city with which we have historical connections. We anticipate that significant investments in the area will enhance the tourism and trade prospects of the continent. In response to changing market dynamics and growing demand, we will persist in expanding the gateways that link Africa to the global community.”
