Annually, approximately 300 new canine recruits undergo a rigorous 16-week training regimen at the TSA Canine Training Center, situated at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout this training, these proficient canines are matched with their handlers, learn to identify a range of explosive scents, and acclimatize to bustling transportation settings prior to being assigned to their permanent posts.
Today, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has unveiled its 2025 TSA Canine Calendar, continuing its annual tradition that pays tribute to the agency’s over 1,000 explosives detection canines operating throughout the United States.
The 2025 TSA Canine Calendar showcases 13 remarkable dogs chosen from over 80 submissions received from TSA teams across the country. Each month features captivating photographs and interesting facts about these canine heroes. This year’s selection includes:
