Tourism Trinidad to Host Lagniappe Culinary Cultural Experience

When government officials and professionals from the Caribbean’s Tourism and Travel Industry converge in Manhattan, New York for Caribbean Week 2023, they can look forward to enjoying Lagniappe – A Culinary Cultural Experience of Trinidad, which will be hosted by Tourism Trinidad Limited at Midtown Loft and Terrace in Manhattan, from 7pm to 10pm, on June 6, 2023.

Lagniappe – as the term suggests – will truly be a “gift” to attendees at Caribbean Week. The by invitation only event will feature the spectacle of Trinidad’s festivals, including a jump up session with costumed masqueraders, steelpan, and tassa, as well as samplings of Trinidad’s world class cuisine. This represents our unparalleled ethnic and cultural diversity. Guests will also enjoy samplings of Angostura’s award-winning rums.

World-renowned as the Island of Festivals, the Culinary Hub of the Caribbean, and a bustling epicenter for business and trade in the Latin America and Caribbean region, Trinidad is well-poised to capture the attention of travel professionals and cultural enthusiasts, as well as business and media leaders – all of whom are attending Caribbean Week in search of the most appealing destinations for vacationing clients, meeting and event planners, and major business investors.

According to Trinidad Tourism Limited CEO, Carla Cupid: “We are delighted to host Lagniappe at Caribbean Week. This event is a great opportunity to showcase our culture and cuisine to the world. Our mantra is, we are always in Season, and we hope that guests will leave with a newfound appreciation for all that Trinidad has to offer.” Tourism Trinidad is working closely with Washington DC-based cultural tourism consultants, CariBeat, to ensure that guests enjoy Lagniappe as an authentic culinary cultural experience of Trinidad and are incentivized to #visitTrinidad as their next business or vacation destination.
