The codeshare arrangement initially encompasses eight domestic routes, including Salt Lake City, San Diego, Phoenix, Portland, Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver, and Austin.

Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines has officially announced the initiation of a codeshare partnership with Alaska Airlines, thereby enhancing its North American network. This marks STARLUX’s inaugural codeshare agreement, aimed at providing a seamless travel experience and increased flexibility for passengers of both airlines.

The codeshare arrangement initially encompasses eight domestic routes, including Salt Lake City, San Diego, Phoenix, Portland, Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver, and Austin, all connecting to Seattle and operated by Alaska Airlines. Passengers can now book flights from these eight cities along with connecting flights from Seattle to Taipei, operated by STARLUX, on a single ticket, facilitating a more efficient check-in and luggage transfer process.

“We are excited to launch our first codeshare flights in partnership with Alaska Airlines, representing a significant expansion of our North American network,” stated Glenn Chai, CEO of STARLUX Airlines. “This collaboration simplifies the booking of connecting flights and enables seamless travel between these destinations with both airlines. STARLUX is committed to establishing strategic partnerships with other airlines to further enhance our passenger networks, promoting mutual growth and success.”

“We are honored to be STARLUX’s inaugural airline partner and are enthusiastic about this new phase in our collaboration,” remarked Brett Catlin, vice president of loyalty, alliances, and sales at Alaska Airlines. “We eagerly anticipate welcoming guests aboard and providing them with the premium service and attention that Alaska is renowned for in the industry.”

STARLUX Airlines currently operates 31 routes, offering a broad network across Asia, as well as three major cities on the U.S. West Coast: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. The Los Angeles route is set to increase from daily service to ten flights per week starting December 22, while the Seattle route will expand from three weekly flights to daily service beginning March 1.
