The 2024 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF), a major event for Asia’s content industry, kicked off on Nov. 5 with record breaking numbers in international participation, cash prizes and awards, and project submissions

The Taiwan Creative Content Fest is meant to bridge the global industry player to relevant resources while propelling Taiwanese companies to hit the international market. This year has recorded a participation benchmark that no previous edition ever set; it received 600 project proposals from 50 countries, 101 booths in exhibitions, over 300 international professionals, media, and buyers in 30 nations, among others. Besides, the 30 speakers will speak during the 15 insights shared at the event.

During the opening event, Deputy Minister of Culture Sue Wang, Taiwan Creative Content Agency Chairperson Homme Tsai, CEO Jiunwei Lu, and Legislator Chiaohui Su saw the infusion of creative energy through floating cubes in the event. Representatives from France, Chile, Malaysia, Belgium, Japan, and the Philippines also represented their respective countries, representing the global reach of the event through a powerful digital display.

There was participation from New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, among others, and industry partners from TV networks, tech firms, and film associations. According to Chairperson Tsai, moving TCCF to Nangang Exhibition Center marked a new industry-focused chapter for the event, suggesting a shift to becoming more commercially viable than ever before compared to previous years at Songshan Creative and Cultural Park. With private sector insights-driven investments, we want to answer the increasing demand for Taiwanese creative content,” Tsai said.
“A commercially viable content that attracts international audiences is what Taiwan needs,” added Deputy Minister Wang. “We need to promote storytellers so that we can promote Taiwan.”

This year TCCF has been divided into three huge sections, including PITCHING competition, where some great awards and assets have been bestowed. This competition has garnered 62 proposals from 21 countries and is looking to break all past records, with an astonishing NT$7.65 million or around $250,000 USD of total awards. There will also be 35 prizes for them and also opportunities for them to be put up on an international platform. The winners shall be announced during the closing event on 8 November.
