A new era of luxury hospitality in Venice is set to begin as the Starhotels Group prepares to reopen the renowned Hotel Gabrielli as a 5-star establishment following a comprehensive renovation. Situated on Riva degli Schiavoni, mere steps from St. Mark’s Square, the hotel boasts stunning views of San Giorgio Maggiore Island and the St. Mark Lagoon.
The historic palazzo, dating back to the 14th century and featuring one of Venice’s largest private gardens, has been re-imagined to provide a modern yet authentically Venetian experience. The renovation focuses on simplicity and timeless elegance. The hotel is scheduled to welcome guests on July 9, 2025.
This ambitious restoration project has enlisted a team of specialists committed to revitalizing the hotel, reflecting the significant investment and craftsmanship involved. Still under the ownership of the Perkhofer family, who have been its stewards since 1856 and are now in their fifth generation, Hotel Gabrielli will be managed by Starhotels as part of its esteemed Collezione brand.
