Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) played host to some 30 travel agents from Saint Lucia’s three top source markets including the UK, US and Canada at the island’s second annual Global Romance Summit.
The event featured two parts, the first was a series of special events to showcase the island’s offerings in weddings, honeymoons and group trips. Participants also explored Saint Lucia’s romance offerings on a fam trip with visits to resorts geared for romance. Guests were indulged with mock wedding set-ups, decadent cuisine and more.
The fam trip itinerary for the agents featured visits to signature Saint Lucian experiences such as the mud baths, Bachelorette Bar Hop, Gros Islet street party and a Catamaran cruise. Agents were hosted at Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, along with site inspections at properties including Anse Chastanet; Cap Maison; Calabash Cove; Harbor Club St. Lucia, Curio Collection by Hilton; Jade Mountain; Ladera; Sandals Halycon; Sugar Beach – A Viceroy Resort; and Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort.
