Cunard has officially announced a new partnership with Sail4th 250, the non-profit organization responsible for organizing the celebrations in the Port of New York and New Jersey for America’s 250th anniversary next year.
As part of this collaboration, the luxury cruise line’s flagship vessel, the Queen Mary 2 – recognized as the only ocean liner in the world – will be prominently featured at the center of this significant event, providing guests with a unique perspective during what is expected to be a remarkable historical occasion.
The six-day celebration, marking this important milestone in American history, will showcase the largest international gathering of tall ships and naval vessels ever seen. Seventeen nations have already pledged their tall ships to join the festivities, with the U.S. Navy extending invitations to many more. Over 30 tall ships are anticipated to participate. The event will also include various festivals, public access to the tall ships, an impressive fireworks display, and an exhibition featuring historic documents from the 18th century.
