Recently Malta and Portugal were in the spotlight to open citizenship and access to all EU countries for money. Not the United States of America is following this trend attempting to attract High Net-worth Individuals (HNIs) from Oman through its employment-based immigrant visa EB-5 program.
No English, no prior knowledge about the US lifestyle – no problem. Age is not an issue and you don’t need any job experience – just pay $500.000 and the United States of America will put you on fast-track for US citizenship.
The EB-5 programme enables a foreign national to secure a green card, which offers permanent residency for himself, as well as for his family (children up to 21 years), by making an investment of $500,000 in an American commercial business that creates at least 10 jobs for US citizens.

FirstPathway Partners is a federally-approved United States citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regional centre for the EB-5 programme.
It has joined with Worldwide Immigration Consultancy Services (WWICS), a global consultancy which has offices in India, the Middle East, Africa, Canada, and Australia, to create awareness about the investor programme for job creation in the USA. “The investment of half a million dollars in American commercial businesses shall be refundable to the investor over the next three to four year period, with some minimal interest,” said Deepak Kochhar, Vice President, WWICS Group, referring to advantages of the programme.
A high-powered team of WWICS also organised a seminar in Oman recently to inform prospective immigrants about customised immigration options to various countries, including the USA.
These experts were present at a seminar to guide businesspersons and investors, skilled workers, professionals and students regarding numerous opportunities available to live, work, study or conduct business in foreign destinations.
The seminar was attended by more than 500 people and the speakers provided customised solutions in various avenues of career opportunities and employment, attractive job offers for aspirants and spouses, coupled with settlement options in Canada, Australia, USA, UK and Europe.
A lot of people from Oman want to settle abroad, but are unaware of the correct path. The purpose of these seminars is to make aspirants aware of the opportunities abroad and legal methods to immigrate to the countries of their choice.

Other than the USA, Canada has proven to be the most diverse and immigrant-friendly destination. It welcomes a range of individuals, from skilled, businesspersons and students.
