Budapest Airport, managed by VINCI Airports, has announced the commencement of a new route from Shenzhen, China.
Hainan Airlines, returning to the airport, has added this new destination to its route map today, operating the 8,499-kilometre sector with its 787 Dreamliners.
Francois Berisot, Chief Executive Officer of Budapest Airport, expresses his delight in welcoming Shenzhen as the newest destination in the growing list of destinations accessible from Budapest. He emphasizes the significance of Hainan Airlines’ return on the 20th anniversary of the airlines’ first European operation.
Berisot further highlighted that the launch of this strategic route demonstrates their commitment to improving connectivity and providing passengers with an exceptional travel experience.
Budapest Airport is expanding its international connections with the introduction of a new route linking the city to Shenzhen twice a week. This latest addition by Hainan Airlines will bring the total number of Chinese destinations accessible from Hungary’s capital to seven.
The airport’s dedication to offering a wide range of travel options is further highlighted by the resumption of operations by Hainan Airlines, which will operate a total of twenty weekly flights between Hungary and China.
This will provide over 400,000 two-way annual seats for passengers traveling between the two countries.
