STARLUX Airlines, a luxury carrier based in Taiwan, celebrated the arrival of its inaugural flight to Seattle today at 4:15 PM, which was honored with a water cannon salute. This marks the airline’s third U.S. destination, following Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The introduction of nonstop flights from Seattle to Taipei highlights STARLUX‘s commitment to expanding its transpacific routes and enhancing its US network. By arriving at the hub of its partner, Alaska Airlines, STARLUX facilitates seamless connections from over 100 cities to Seattle, and subsequently to Taipei and 23 other Asian destinations. The airline commemorated this milestone with a special inaugural celebration upon the arrival of flight JX032 from Taipei.
Below is the weekly schedule:
Flight Route Weekly Schedule Departure Time Arrival Time
JX031 SEA-TPE – Every Monday, Thursday, Saturday – 02:10 – 05:10 +1
JX032 TPE-SEA – Every Wednesday, Friday, Sunday – 20:00 – 16:15
STARLUX Airlines operates its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 on the newly established route connecting Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Initially, the airline will provide three flights per week, with plans to increase to daily service at the start of the upcoming year.
After arriving in Taipei, travelers can extend their STARLUX experiences to over 23 sought-after locations across Asia via the Taipei hub. This includes destinations such as Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand; Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam; Penang and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; Cebu and Clark in the Philippines; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia (beginning September 1); Macau and Hong Kong, as well as more than nine locations in Japan.
Alongside facilitating convenient connections for shared customers through Alaska’s primary airport, Los Angeles and San Francisco function as essential gateway airports for Alaska, enabling both airlines to broaden their route offerings and significantly improve overall connectivity. Since April 2023, STARLUX and Alaska have engaged in a collaborative loyalty program, allowing members of Alaska’s Mileage Plan to earn and redeem miles on STARLUX flights; later this year, STARLUX COSMILE members will gain the ability to do the same on Alaska flights. While Alaska has been offering interline flights on STARLUX through alaskaair.com, both airlines are excited to announce that the launch of codeshare flights will commence later this year. This strategic partnership marks STARLUX’s inaugural codeshare agreement, designed to deliver a seamless travel experience and enhanced flexibility for passengers of both airlines.
