The increasing domestic travel options at Milan Bergamo Airport have been further enhanced with the introduction of new routes.

Milan Bergamo Airport announced the commencement of Ryanair’s first flight to Salerno, which serves as the latest entry point to the scenic Amalfi Coast.

This route will operate three times a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The introduction of this service represents a significant advancement in Milan Bergamo Airport’s growing domestic network, providing travelers with enhanced convenience and connectivity throughout Italy.

Passengers traveling from Bergamo Airport will be among the first in the nation to take advantage of flights to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, which has recently reopened after a nine-year hiatus. This airport, situated in close proximity to the picturesque city of Salerno, offers convenient access to famous locations including Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.

The increasing domestic travel options at Milan Bergamo Airport have been further enhanced with the introduction of new routes. Aeroitalia initiated a five-weekly service to Perugia in March, while Lumiwings launched two-weekly flights to Foggia in April.

In addition, Aeroitalia began a daily service to Palermo in July, providing additional options alongside Ryanair. Moreover, Ryanair, easyJet, and Volotea now offer daily services from Bergamo to Olbia during the summer season.

Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ryanair’s new service to Salerno, which is a significant addition to our growing portfolio of domestic routes. This expansion demonstrates our ongoing efforts to improve connectivity for our passengers. The introduction of new flights to cities like Foggia, Perugia, Palermo, and Olbia, alongside our established offerings, highlights our dedication to facilitating seamless travel across Italy. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with airline partners to deliver more options and convenience for our customers.”

During the first half of the year Milan Bergamo Airport handled 1,766,886 passengers on domestic flights.
