Ethiopian Airlines announced the launch of a new passenger flight service to Porto, Portugal, commencing on July 2, 2025. This service will feature a single stop in Madrid, Spain. The introduction of this route is designed to provide enhanced travel options and improve seamless connectivity for passengers in the region, thereby advancing Ethiopian Airlines’ regional growth throughout Europe.

The new service will operate four times weekly using the B787 Dreamliner, following this schedule:
- Flight ET740 will depart from Addis Ababa on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 23:10, arriving in Madrid at 05:55 the following day. It will then leave Madrid on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 06:55, reaching Porto at 07:15.
- Flight ET741 will depart from Porto on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 19:55, arriving in Madrid at 21:10. It will subsequently depart Madrid at 23:10, arriving in Addis Ababa at 07:25 the next day.
