Australian Novotel Geelong hotel announced the appointment of Scott Bear as the new General Manager. A dynamic and forward-thinking leader, Scott brings with him a decade of experience in the hospitality sector, having worked in various roles across a wide range of hotels, from midscale to luxury establishments.
Scott earned a Bachelor of International Hotel Management from the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) between 2015 and 2017, which served as the foundation for his impressive career. His notable achievements include:
- Acquiring extensive operational expertise in Food & Beverage and Rooms Division from 2015 to 2022.
- Completing the esteemed Accor Post Graduate Program in 2021.
- Securing his first General Manager position at the age of 26, overseeing Mercure Sydney Manly Warringah.
- Being recognized as Runner-Up for Australian Rising Star of the Year at the HM Awards.
- Initiating groundbreaking projects, including becoming the first sponsor of the Manly Sea Eagles Women’s NRL Team.
