The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA) announced the election of its 2025 Board of Directors, which took place during the association’s annual meeting held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco.
Cormac O’Modhrain, who serves as the Group Vice President of Asset Management at Sunstone Hotel Investors, has been appointed as the 2025 CHLA Board Chair, taking over from Dhruv Patel, President and COO of Ridgemont Hospitality, who will now serve as Immediate Past Chair. Assisting O’Modhrain are a distinguished group of officers:
Vice Chair: Daniel Kuperschmid, Vice President of Global Asset Management at Hyatt Hotels Corporation
Secretary-Treasurer: Kristi Allen, Executive Vice President of Hotels at Ensemble Investments
Furthermore, the board is pleased to welcome three new members whose expertise will enhance CHLA’s mission:
Tony Zand, General Counsel at Pacific Hospitality Group
Kerry Gaber, Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Host Hotels & Resorts
Margie Jones, Ph.D., Dean of the Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona
Additionally, the terms of nine existing members have been renewed, underscoring their valuable contributions:
