All 16 passenger busses at Stuttgart Airport are now electric driven. The first bus of its kind came into operation on the apron in 2013. Until now the airport gradually electrified its fleet to accomplish a zero-emission passenger shuttle between terminal buildings and airplanes.
The sustainability project “scale-up!”, which put the plan into effect, is funded by the German Federal Environment Ministry.
