Kolkata readies for 35th IATO convention

The last time the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) convention was held in Kolkata, the City of Joy, was in 2002. Now this event is returning after 17 years for the 35th annual convention to be held from September 12-15, 2019.

Pronab Sarkar will be the Chairman of the convention along with Mr. Rajnish Kaistha and Mr. Debjit Dutta as Co-chairmen.

The Indian Association of Tour Operators is the national apex body of the tourism industry. It has over 1,600 members covering all segments of the tourism industry. Established in 1982, IATO today has international acceptance and linkages.

The venue of the convention is the luxury ITC Royal Bengal Kolkata hotel, a brand-new property. The inaugural function of the convention will be held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre Kolkata on September 12. Following the inauguration of the event, all business sessions and other functions will be held at ITC Royal Bengal Kolkata.
