Uzbekistan is considering the construction of a new international airport in the Tashkent region. This airport is expected to open in 2030, serving 15 million passengers flying from and to Uzbekistan.
According to President Schawkat Mirsijojew, the current airport is reaching limits with little room to expand.
In the beginning stage, the new airport will be able to handle 20 million passengers a year, 169 planes, and 40 takeoffs and landings per hour. The country is looking for developers for this project.

The Boeing Company has awarded the NAC for successful and safe exploitation of aircraft of this type.
