The Croatia-based Ocean Alliance Conservation (OACM) has grown from a small NGO established in 2007 to a robust community of nations, organizations, and corporations committed to preserving and protecting oceans, lakes, and rivers from plastic pollution.
Ocean Alliance founder, president, and world champion diver Kristijan Curavic said:
“In today’s world, the key to making our initiative successful lies in Human Resources – people are everything. It is people who make things happen.”
The OACM President, a pioneer in sustainable ocean programs, launched multiple environmental brands to minimize the plastic content in world waters.
Developing a new long-term sustainable Human Resources program will enable OACM to conduct world water preservation simultaneously on all continents and in many countries.
The Ocean Ambassadors Recognition by Ocean Alliance is awarded to high-level CEOs, Executives, Government Officials, Entrepreneurs, Academics, Marketing and economic specialists, and anybody who can contribute to creating Certified SAFE Marine Areas for Human and Marine Life—a successful and proven concept by the Ocean Alliance.
The Ocean Ambassadors’ mission within the OACM group will be to support the concept of certified SAFE Marine areas expanding globally by lobbying the right people and shortening the time it takes to access the required financial support.
OACM’s goal is to expand its global operation and protect millions of marine and ocean lives by eliminating plastic from beaches and lake and river waters.
Ocean Ambassadors will receive a percentage of the income and, if successful, become Ocean Guardians.
All cleaning and certifications will transparently disclose all operational and financial data on the organization’s website.
OACM is developing a new breed of Environmentalist
The Ocean Ambassador concept is about innovation, financial sustainability and ensuring long-term operational processes.
In order to prevent pollution in our waters, we must anticipate future problems. Currently, the problem is the lack of concrete solutions that can eliminate plastic currently in our waters and prevent new plastic from entering our streams, lakes, and oceans.
OACM is training a new breed of Environmentalist
Fundamental methods are in play:
1) Using the expertise of corporate leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs to provide a training base so that such ambassadors can help communicate the OACM concept to known stakeholders and decision-makers.
2) This exercise will contribute to and create the need to expand certified SAFE Marine Areas.
3) An important tool will be focusing on young people’s inclusion of the OACM concept in their educational building, which will provide important groundwork to get such followers ready to support OACMs’ work within their future positions.
The goal is for future leaders to incorporate environmental preservation in every aspects of future economic development, understanding this will be the only and ultimate solution for sustainable future.
The Ocean Alliance is working with the World Tourism Network to identify future ambassadors.
