Hong Kong Airlines recommenced its direct flights to Vancouver, Canada, on January 18. Celebratory events took place at both Hong Kong International Airport and Vancouver International Airport to commemorate this relaunch.
According to Yan Bo, Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, the carrier is pleased to reinstate the Vancouver service, providing passengers with additional flight options. Vancouver was Hong Kong Airlines’ inaugural North American destination, first introduced in June 2017, and has consistently enjoyed popularity. The resumption of this route signifies the carrier’s official re-entry into the North American market and reflects the advancements in its strategic transformation from a regional to an international airline earlier this year, thereby enhancing its confidence in expanding its global route network.
To further improve the passenger experience, the airline has developed a range of Hong Kong-style in-flight meals for this route, featuring a diverse selection of Chinese, Western, and vegetarian options available for both business and economy-class travelers.
