At the UN Sustainable Ocean Conference in Lisbon the keynote Address was given by Hon. Edmnund Bartlett, Jamaica’s tourism minister

The High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy (Ocean Panel) is a unique global initiative by serves world leaders that are working to build momentum toward a sustainable ocean economy in which effective protection, sustainable production, and equitable prosperity go hand-in-hand.

By enhancing humanity’s relationship with the ocean, bridging ocean health and wealth, working with diverse stakeholders, and harnessing the latest knowledge, the Ocean Panel aims to facilitate a better, more resilient future for people and the planet.

Today, two outstanding tourism leaders, the Tourism Minister from Kenya, Hon. Najib Balala, and Hon. Edmund Bartlett from Jamaica participated in this important discussion in Lisbon at the UN Sustainable Ocean conference.

After speaking about this important issue at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Rwanda, the Jamaica minister provided eTurboNews with his talking points for his keynote address today.
