Gone! The Rush of Daily Life with Kayaking, Nature & Wine at Harmon Guest House  in Sonoma County

Kayaking

Now through October 15, guests of Harmon Guest House in Healdsburg, CA, can book a guided Day Drift Kayaking Tour with Getaway Adventures.

Over the past 150 years, Healdsburg has evolved from the pioneer outpost it was during Harmon Heald’s time, to a sleepy town of prune and grape growers, to an acclaimed destination, the jewel of Sonoma County’s wine country in California, USA.

As the newest addition to the acclaimed Harmon Guest House, it is a modern stitch in the fabric of the Harmon Guest House.

Guests trade the rush of daily life for a slow-moving river and the company of tall trees with a guided kayaking experience that glides through one of Healdsburg’s most pristine and peaceful stretches of the Russian River.

The only chatter is from birds overhead, and the current sets the only schedule. Along the way, guests may spot egrets, turtles, and even river otters while gliding past redwoods and hidden swim spots.

The journey ends under a canopy of redwoods or stretched out on a secluded shore, sharing a picnic prepared by the chefs from the acclaimed Dry Creek Kitchen that features hyper-seasonal fare and chilled Rosé from the Russian River Valley—a feast grounded in Sonoma’s land and legacy.
