The president of the International Federation of Associations of Tourism Business Executives FIASEET, contacted Mrs. Gloria Guevara Manzó during FITUR in Mardid to give her institutional support and that of the associations for her application as a candidate for the position of Secretary General of UN Tourism for the period 2026-2029.
FIASEET was founded in Mexico in 1980 and has been working continuously ever since, bringing together leading businesswomen from the Ibero-American tourism industry, who connect with each other to strengthen their businesses and the leadership that characterizes them, through this network in which they are trained and establish commercial connections and social, cultural and educational development, having tourism activity as a common horizon, with an associative vision and management, consistent with the 2030 Agenda of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Currently, FIASEET comprises Associations belonging to 10 Latin American Countries and Spain: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay, and adherent members from Mexico.
This federation brings together more than 400 female executives and businesswomen from the Tourism sector, business leaders from Travel Agencies and hotels, renowned tourism journalists, operators, business representatives such as aviation, tour guides, and representatives of GARA.
With executives from national tourism boards and ministries, this organization touches all tourism subsectors.
Members bring an extensive knowledge of the tourism world, to provide services to the tourism industry with the highest standards. With the vision of being leaders, members with an entrepreneurial spirit committed to their development, that of the members of their Associations, and that of the Federation.

At the same time the former Secretary of Tourism and Wildlife for the Republic of Kenya, the Hon. Najob Balala shared his personal endorsement for Gloria Guevara, for UN-Tourism Secretary General. Balala is seen as one of the longest serving and most experienced tourism ministers in Africa, who led the UNWTO Execturive Group and has been involved in many global organizations and initiatives. He is also a tourism hero for the World Tourism Network.
