In an effort to minimize disruptions of “government’s domestic works,” the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has issued a temporary ban on foreign travel by government officials.
Excluded in the ban are ministers of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration. All other ministers, their deputies, metropolitan, municipal, district chief executives and government agencies’ heads are affected by the travel ban.
The directive has asked those affected by the travel ban to comply strictly until guidelines for future foreign travel was communicated to them.
