Flexjet, a provider of luxury private aviation services, has officially submitted its compliance declaration to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), confirming its adherence to the newly established requirements for the 14CFR Part 5 Safety Management System (SMS).
This statement is a continuation of Flexjet‘s proactive compliance with the FAA’s SMS Voluntary Program (SMSVP), which began in October 2021. Since that time, the company has been actively working to improve its current Safety Management System (SMS) by integrating standards from various international aviation authorities. Consequently, Flexjet not only fulfills but surpasses numerous FAA requirements outlined in CFR Part 5 SMS, achieving this well in advance of the May 2027 deadline for compliance.
Flexjet demonstrates a dedication to the development, implementation, and enhancement of existing safety standards, positioning itself within the top 1% of private jet operators compliant with the FAA’s SMS initiative. Furthermore, Flexjet advocates for transparency and the exchange of data, which advances safety practices within the industry, exceeding the basic regulatory requirements.
