Two adults and 3 children visiting New York, died along with the pilot at around 3:15 pm this afternoon in a crash into the Hudson River off Jersey City in New Jersey and across from the West Village in Manhattan near a ventilation building above the Holland Tunnel.
According to an eye witnesses who was on a tour boat on the river at the time, saw the helicopter dropping as the rotor flew off and it nose-dived into the frigid water. Debris from the crash went flying everywhere including the tour boat.
Videos show the helicopter falling end over end before it smashed into the water at high speed.
All 6 people were taken to a hospital but there were no survivors.
