Recent research of ticket data indicates that American fans of Taylor Swift (known as Swifties) are discovering cost-effective ways to participate in the singer’s legendary Eras Tour by choosing to attend international shows, particularly in Europe where better deals are available.
The report suggests that attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour overseas can result in substantial cost savings, as international ticket prices are considerably more affordable than those being resold in the United States.
Based on information gathered from the recently completed Eras Tour concerts (data accurate as of June 27th), it is estimated that there will be approximately 200,000 American visitors (with a margin of error of 20 percent) specifically in London to attend Taylor Swift’s concerts (taking into account the 8 scheduled dates in the British capital).
During the last show in Stockholm, Taylor Swift entertained an audience of 60,200 people. Across the three nights in the Swedish capital, approximately 180,600 fans showed up. Official statistics indicate that 5.5 percent of the tickets (around 10,000) were bought by American spectators.
During the Paris leg of the tour, up to 20% of the tickets were purchased by American tourists for the four fully booked performances.
Taylor Swift’s tour in Europe includes 51 performances across 18 cities, drawing in audiences of over 40,000 people every night.
Based on historical concert data and a thorough analysis, experts have determined that out of the projected 2,041,000 attendees for the 51 concerts during Taylor Swift’s tour across 18 European cities, approximately 17.3% will be Americans, equating to roughly 353,093 US concert-goers.
