The essence of tourism in Kilimanjaro Region had attracted more tourist and travel trade companies to participate the annual Kilifair, the first ever tourism gathering to take place on the foothills of the Mountain.

Taking place in its fourth edition from June 1^st to 3^rd this year, the Kilifair event is expected to attract 350 exhibitors from 12 countries, more than 400 buyers and travel agents from 42 countries and 4,000 visitors from East Africa.

Leading tourism and travel exhibition organizers in Northern Tanzania, the Karibu Fair and Kilifair Promotion have recently joined into a single tourism exhibition organizer with expectation to pull more partners and key players in tourism across East Africa and the entire African continent.

The Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) Chief Executive Officer Mr Sirili Akko said the two travel trade event organizers decided to join hands to enhance tourism development under a unified force.

Mount Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater all located in northern Tanzania have been named the New Seven Wonders of Africa by their astounding natural attractions which make Tanzania’s northern tourist circuit standing the leading African safari destination in East Africa.
