Qatar Airways announced that it is ready to reintroduce daily flights to Canberra, the capital of Australia, enhancing connectivity and fostering increased competition that will benefit both Canberrans and Australian travelers.
Re-introduced Qatar Airways daily air service to Canberra will transit through Melbourne, connecting to the airline’s hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha. This hub also provides travelers with smooth connections to over 170 destinations within the Qatar Airways global network.
Scheduled to commence in December 2025, the flights will be operated using Boeing 777 aircraft, which will feature the airline’s Q-suite Business Class cabin and complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi for all passengers.
Qatar Airways suspended Canberra flights during the global COVID-19 pandemic, which makes today’s announcement a significant milestone for the airline as it reconnects to the city, the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and the surrounding regions.
