Delta Air Lines has announced that it is set to reintroduce nonstop flights between Los Angeles (LAX), USA and Shanghai (PVG), China in June 2025, utilizing its advanced Airbus A350 aircraft.
While passengers in Delta One will have access to the new Delta One Lounge at LAX, all travelers will benefit from the recently completed airport enhancements designed to provide a more comfortable and streamlined travel experience.
“As the foremost international airline operating at LAX, Delta is dedicated to ensuring that our customers in Los Angeles have effortless access to destinations around the globe,” stated Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta Air Lines.
“Our recent enhancements, including the new Delta One Lounge and various airport upgrades, demonstrate our commitment to improving every aspect of our customers’ travel experience—from their arrival at the airport to reaching their final destination,” he added.
With the reinstatement of the Los Angeles-Shanghai route, Delta will provide a total of 17 weekly flights connecting the US and China, in addition to the existing services from Detroit and Seattle.
Delta Air Lines is further enhancing its operations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), providing more than 150 peak-day flights to almost 60 destinations. This expansion includes the introduction and resumption of services to Auckland, Paris, and Brisbane, which will commence on December 4.
