Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth: Makeover for 2025 Caribbean, Alaska Seasons

The Cunard Line, a British shipping and cruise line based at Carnival House at Southampton, England, operated by Carnival UK and owned by Carnival Corporation & plc., announced a transformative refurbishment of its Queen Elizabeth cruise ship, setting the stage for her inaugural Caribbean program departing from Miami, as well as her first Alaska season from Seattle in 2025.

This luxury cruise ship, accommodating 2,000 guests, will undergo an extensive refit from February 25 to March 13, 2025, at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore. This preparation will enable her to embark on a new Alaska season from Seattle in June and to commence her inaugural voyage from Miami to the Caribbean on October 16. The Caribbean season will kick off with a 12-night roundtrip journey from Miami, allowing guests to explore the UNESCO-listed Garrison in Bridgetown and the vibrant markets of Castries, St. Lucia.

In a historic first for Cunard, one of their distinguished ships will spend an entire season in Miami. Queen Elizabeth will feature a dedicated series of roundtrip Caribbean voyages, with itineraries ranging from nine to 28 nights. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy idyllic getaways to renowned destinations such as Montego Bay in Jamaica, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and St. John’s in Antigua.
