Crystal Lagoons is enhancing its presence in the luxury hotel industry with its inaugural project in a Central US resort area: a two-acre lagoon encircled by pristine white sand beaches at the esteemed Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas. The lagoon’s groundbreaking occurred in June 2024, with an anticipated completion and opening date set for the fourth quarter of 2025.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive redevelopment strategy and represents a partnership between Crystal Lagoons and Woodbine Development Corporation, based in Dallas. Since the resort’s inception in 1993, Woodbine has committed to various improvements, including renovations of guest rooms, upgrades to meeting facilities, and the introduction of new dining experiences such as the Woodbine Bar. Additionally, the project will feature five independent villas equipped with private patios and fire pits, along with a 5,600-square-foot meeting space that offers views of the lagoon.
