Tourists from Mongolia are drawn to China because of convenience in traveling (they share a border) and reasonable vacation cost. Conversely, travelers from Chinese enjoy the natural beauty and cultural aspects of Mongolia.
Over 1.75 million inbound and outbound trips have been recorded so far this year between China and Mongolia on the Erenhot highway and Erenhot Port, the largest land port on the border. That’s a whopping increase of 95%. Data show 442,000 transport vehicles using that border route.
In addition to travel and tourism, China and Mongolia have been expanding connections in education, medical care, and trade.
