Caribbean Airlines remains hopeful that a favorable resolution can be achieved in this matter, allowing all parties to concentrate their efforts on the airline’s continued success and expansion.

Caribbean Airlines expresses its appreciation for the announcement made by the Honourable Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert MP, regarding his approval of the proposal put forth to the Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association (TTALPA) as recommended by Caribbean Airlines to resolve the ongoing salary discussions.

According to the statement released by the Minister on October 30, 2024, the proposal includes a 4% salary increase for the period from September 2015 to August 2020. Furthermore, an additional 4% salary increase is proposed for the period from September 2020 to August 2023.

“Having given this dispute careful consideration, in the interest of good industrial relations, the Minister of Finance has authorized Caribbean Airlines to settle the September 2015 to August 2020 period with TTALPA with a 4% increase in salaries and to offer the pilots a further 4% increase in salaries for the next bargaining period, that is to say, the September 2020 to August 2023 period,” Finance Minister Colm Imbert said in official release.

The TTALPA has not yet provided an official response to Imbert’s proposal aimed at resolving their current wage negotiations.

Caribbean Airlines remains hopeful that a favorable resolution can be achieved in this matter, allowing all parties to concentrate their efforts on the airline’s continued success and expansion.

The airline provides services to destinations across the Caribbean, North America, and South America, operating from its hub at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad.
