Avelo Launches New Orleans Flights, Doubles Puerto Rico Service

Avelo will double its flights to Puerto Rico this winter and increase capacity at Tweed by adding more Boeing Next Generation 737-800 aircraft.

Avelo Airlines has today revealed its ongoing expansion at Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Southern Connecticut, which includes the introduction of a new nonstop route to New Orleans, Louisiana. Additionally, the airline will double its flights to Puerto Rico this winter and increase capacity at Tweed by adding more Boeing Next Generation 737-800 aircraft. This development allows Avelo to greatly enhance its convenient, cost-effective, and dependable air service in Southern Connecticut.

Andrew Levy, the Founder and CEO of Avelo Airlines, expressed pride in the airline’s identity as Connecticut’s carrier. He announced the expansion of services in New Haven, which includes a new route to New Orleans, additional flights to Puerto Rico this winter, and an increase in customer capacity. With 27 nonstop destinations available from Tweed, travelers can now enjoy a more convenient, affordable, and reliable air travel experience. Avelo Doubles Down on Puerto Rico

Beginning Friday, November 8, Avelo will double its frequency of flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico to four flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
