Ascott Launches Luxury Hotel Brand in Japan

The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the lodging division fully owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI) has partnered with Japanese general real estate firm, Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., to introduce SEN/KA TOKYO by The Crest Collection in Tokyo, Japan.

Scheduled to commence operations in the latter half of 2029 in the Yaesu district, adjacent to Tokyo Station, this lodging establishment will represent the inaugural introduction of Ascott’s luxury brand, The Crest Collection, in Japan, and will also be the 13th addition to the brand’s international portfolio. Furthermore, this partnership signifies the first joint venture between Tokyo Tatemono and Ascott.

Every door at The Crest Collection tells a unique story, representing a portfolio of enchanting and tailored hotels and serviced residences that blend heritage narratives with thoughtfully designed hospitality experiences. Each establishment possesses its own unique character and narrative, with several situated in historically significant buildings or neighborhoods. The guest experiences are meticulously crafted to embody the essence of the locale, allowing visitors to feel as though they have been transported to a bygone era, where they can revel in the splendor of a golden age at each location.

SEN/KA TOKYO, part of The Crest Collection, will present its own tale, inspired by the quaint town of Gofuku-cho, which lies in proximity to Edo Castle. This town, once renowned for its esteemed kimono fabric shops frequented by the shogunate and the Imperial Household, celebrated the art of craftsmanship, intricate artistry, and remarkable details—qualities that will be reflected in the forthcoming property.
